Tasman Home Energy Advisory is operated by Jarred Nielson, a Hobart-based engineer with a background in asset management, performance analysis and structured problem solving.
Jarred has extensive experience analysing complex systems and identifying practical opportunities for improvement through engineering-led assessment. Throughout his career he has worked in roles focused on asset performance, maintenance strategy and long-term reliability.
Tasman Home Energy Advisory applies that same structured thinking to homes, accommodation properties and small business premises — helping clients understand how their property performs, where energy is being used, and which improvements are most likely to deliver meaningful results.
Why I Started Tasman Home Energy Advisory
Working in engineering and asset performance roles, I’ve spent much of my career analysing systems and identifying where improvements can deliver the greatest benefit.
When I started looking more closely at the energy performance of my own home, I realised the same thinking could be applied more broadly to homes, accommodation properties and small businesses. In many cases, people are making major upgrade decisions without access to clear, independent advice.
Much of the guidance available in the market is tied to selling a particular product or installation. Tasman Home Energy Advisory was created to offer a more independent and practical alternative — helping clients understand how their property performs and what improvements are actually worth prioritising.
